This specimen is a natural example of Stilbite growing over Heulandite, a classic zeolite association from the basaltic cavities of the Deccan Traps of Maharashtra, India. The formation shows bright, translucent to white Stilbite crystals developing across a contrasting cream to honey-colored Heulandite base. In these volcanic cavities, mineral-rich fluids deposited successive generations of zeolites, producing overlapping crystal growth and distinctive radiating, bladed and tabular habits. Stilbite and Heulandite commonly occur together in Maharashtra, particularly around Pune and other Deccan Trap localities, where both minerals are important collector species.
