Questions about the photographs, locality, condition or buying process? Start here, or contact us about a particular specimen.
How are specimens represented?
Check whether the listing is for one specimen, a lot or an assortment. The photographs and description explain what is offered. If the selection is random, the photographed pieces may be examples.
Are product images of the exact specimen?
For an individual specimen, review the photographs of that piece. Lots and assortments have their own photo and quantity notes. Ask us if you need to confirm which pieces are included.
How are dimensions displayed?
We show dimensions and weight when they are recorded. Check whether a measurement refers to one piece, a typical piece or the whole lot.
How are repairs or restoration disclosed?
We show condition, treatment and repair information when it has been supplied. A blank field does not confirm that a specimen is unrepaired. Please ask if this matters to your purchase.
How is locality information presented?
The specimen passport carries the origin recorded for that listing. If you collect a particular mine or quarry, ask us to confirm that level of detail before ordering.
How are specimens packaged?
Packing depends on the specimen and its fragility. Contact us to discuss the arrangements and shipping options for your order.
Can dealers request wholesale material?
Yes. Tell us the minerals, sizes and quantity you need through the wholesale enquiry form. We can review suitable material and discuss the order.
Can Matrix review a custom sourcing request?
Yes. Share the mineral, locality or type of specimen you are looking for. We can check availability, although a particular find cannot be promised.
Can international buyers enquire?
Yes. Send us your destination with the specimen link or your requirements. We can discuss payment, packing, shipping and the documentation for the order.
