About this specimen

Stilbite on Heulandite Crystal Cluster | Natural Mineral Specimen | 8×5×4 cm | 70g

This particular Stilbite on Heulandite specimen shows a striking arrangement of bright, translucent-white Stilbite crystals developing across a pale cream to honey-colored Heulandite formation. In the Deccan basalt cavities of India, Heulandite and Stilbite are commonly found together, often forming successive generations of crystal growth within open cavities. Heulandite can develop as larger tabular or radiating crystals, while Stilbite commonly forms pearly, radiating and bladed aggregates over or alongside it. This natural overlapping growth creates the contrasting crystal habits and layered appearance seen in this specimen.
