This particular Stilbite on Heulandite specimen shows pale cream to translucent Heulandite crystals forming the main body, with delicate white Stilbite developing across the surface in radiating and bladed aggregates. In the Deccan Traps of Maharashtra, mineral-rich fluids circulated through cavities within basalt and produced successive generations of zeolite crystals. Heulandite commonly formed earlier as tabular or radiating crystals, followed by Stilbite growth across open surfaces and crystal contacts. The resulting layered growth produces the soft pearly luster and overlapping crystal textures characteristic of these Indian zeolite specimens. This Stilbite–Heulandite association is well documented from Maharashtra.
