This is a natural Green Apophyllite crystal specimen displaying an attractive cluster of naturally formed crystals with the characteristic glassy luster and geometric crystal habit associated with Indian Apophyllite. Green Apophyllite is highly regarded by mineral collectors for its fresh green coloration, transparency to translucency, sharp crystal faces, and distinctive crystal formations.
India, particularly the Deccan Trap region of Maharashtra, is internationally recognized for producing collectible Apophyllite specimens, frequently occurring in association with zeolite minerals such as Stilbite. These minerals form within cavities and pockets of volcanic basalt, where mineral-rich fluids deposited crystals over geological time. Comparable Indian specimens are documented from Pune, Jalgaon, and Nashik districts.
This specimen measures approximately 5 × 5 × 5 cm and weighs approximately 150 grams, making it a compact yet substantial piece for a mineral cabinet or display collection. Natural variations in crystal size, transparency, luster, inclusions, contact areas, and surface texture are part of the specimen's geological character.
A suitable addition to a Green Apophyllite collection, Indian mineral collection, zeolite collection, or geological display.
