This attractive natural Green Apophyllite specimen features a compact cluster of naturally formed crystals with the characteristic geometric crystal habit and glassy luster for which Apophyllite is highly valued by mineral collectors. Green Apophyllite from India is especially sought after for its fresh green coloration, attractive transparency to translucency, sharp crystal faces, and distinctive crystal development. Comparable Indian specimens are well documented from the Deccan Trap region of Maharashtra.
Indian Apophyllite commonly occurs in cavities within basalt together with zeolite minerals such as Stilbite. Documented collector specimens from Pune and Jalgaon show green Apophyllite crystals associated with creamy, white, or pink Stilbite.
This specimen measures approximately 7 × 5 × 4 cm and weighs approximately 160 grams, giving it a substantial presence while remaining an easy-to-display collector specimen. Natural variations in crystal size, transparency, luster, inclusions, contact areas, surface texture, and minor imperfections are part of its geological character.
A strong addition to an Apophyllite collection, Indian mineral collection, zeolite collection, or crystal display.
