Green Apophyllite with Stilbite & Heulandite Crystal Specimen | Natural Indian Mineral | 9×6×3 cm | 150g
This particular specimen features pale green Apophyllite crystals growing in association with white Stilbite and Heulandite, a classic mineral assemblage from the Deccan Traps of Maharashtra, India. The green Apophyllite shows translucent, blocky crystal forms, while fine Stilbite aggregates form a contrasting white crystalline surface around the specimen. Heulandite occurs through the underlying assemblage, providing the mineral-rich foundation on which later crystal growth developed. In the basalt cavities of Maharashtra, circulating fluids deposited successive generations of zeolite and Apophyllite crystals, producing the complex overlapping habits seen in collector specimens from Pune and other Deccan Trap localities.
