Green Apophyllite with Stilbite — Natural Indian Mineral Specimen
This attractive natural mineral specimen features Green Apophyllite crystals associated with Stilbite, a classic combination highly valued by mineral collectors. Indian Apophyllite is particularly well known for its fresh green coloration, strong vitreous luster, geometric crystal forms, and frequent association with white to cream Stilbite in the cavities of the Deccan Trap basalts of Maharashtra.
The specimen displays naturally developed Apophyllite crystals with variations in transparency, crystal form, luster, and surface texture. The contrasting Stilbite association provides a lighter mineral foundation and enhances the visual separation of the green crystals. Natural contact areas, minor imperfections, inclusions, fractures, and irregular crystal growth may be present and are part of the specimen's geological character.
Measuring approximately 8 × 6 × 4 cm and weighing approximately 200 grams, this is an excellent small-cabinet collector specimen with a substantial presence for its dimensions. A closely comparable documented Indian specimen measures 8 × 6 cm and weighs 190 g and is recorded from Pune District, Maharashtra.
This specimen is suitable for mineral collections, Indian zeolite collections, Apophyllite collectors, geological displays, and natural crystal enthusiasts.
