Apophyllite Crystal Cluster | 9×4×3 cm | 80g

This particular specimen is a natural cluster of colorless to translucent Apophyllite crystals, showing a dense arrangement of closely intergrown crystals with bright vitreous luster. Apophyllite commonly forms inside open cavities of basaltic volcanic rocks, where silica- and water-rich fluids allow successive generations of crystals to develop across cavity surfaces. In the Deccan Trap region of Maharashtra, Apophyllite is frequently found together with zeolite minerals and can occur as sharply defined prismatic, tabular, or pseudo-cubic crystals as well as compact clusters. The pale transparent appearance of this specimen allows light to pass through individual crystals, revealing natural internal textures, contacts, inclusions, and variations in crystal development across the cluster.
