The Apophyllite crystals show translucent green bodies with well-defined geometric faces, while the Stilbite forms fine white to cream radiating and bladed aggregates around the crystal surfaces. Heulandite provides the underlying mineral association and contributes additional pale, pearly crystal textures. In the Deccan Traps of Maharashtra, Apophyllite commonly occurs together with Stilbite and Heulandite inside basalt cavities, where mineral-rich fluids deposited successive generations of crystals as the cavities developed.
